I saw Inception the other day. I thought it was great. It's the first time I've been left confused about a film for quite some time.

My very good lady and I watched The Box (2009) last night. It could have been good - the premise is quite fun - but it was unfortunately terrible.

Glengarry Glen Ross
"An all-male cast? Like Glengarry Glen Ross?" That quote is from Zack and Miri make a porno, which features both Jason Mewes (or Jay as he's better known) and pornstar Katie Morgan, both of whom appeared in the film I watched tonight, Shoot the Hero. It was quite odd. Fight sequences were terribly shot, but some of the dialogue was good.

Based on knifey spoony's list of films being decent (any list that begins with Dead Mans Shoes is almost certainly onto a winner), I've got Glengarry Glen Ross to watch next.
Tonight though I saw 'Once Upon A Time In The Midlands'

...which is worth a go. Kathy Burke was brilliant. I think that completes Shane Meadows' films for me. This Is England '86 is on Channel 4 soon, a 4-part mini series based on the original film, done by Meadows and the bulk of the cast.

Watched Salt last night, bizarrely from a DVD Rip of excellent quality.
I enjoyed it a great deal. It was fairly predictable, but a good killer of an hour and a half. The plot made me think of a good Forsyth novel (although not executed as well) and as I think Forsyth is god, it was not hard for me to enjoy it.

I've only got that left to see, the only place I've seen it for sale was in Norway. I've heard it's not very good though, doesn't match up to the bulk of Meadows' work?

I was disappointed with the departed, the casting was all wrong. Jack Nicholson is a very good actor but he just does not make a good maffia boss.
In Bruges is brilliant: "Two manky hookers and a racist dwarf, I'm going home"
Ace.

Watched Walk The Line tonight. Didn't enjoy it much to be honest. It was informative as I didn't know much about Johnny Cash but it wasn't entertaining to me.
