Went to see Ricky Gervais's 'Invention of Lying' which has a decent concept of a man who discovers how to lie in a world where everyone tells the truth all the time. Fairly entertaining but so much more could have been made of this. Shame RG seems to be pandering at the moment to Hollywood and American audiences making his comedy very lightweight (IMO). Nice cameo from Steven Merchant and Shaun Williamson though. 5/10.
Can't think of anything worse than watching Mama Mia, particularly after holidaying in Skopelos this summer where by all accounts a fair bit of it was filmed which resulted with laying on the beach trying to have a read and to be interrupted every few minutes by renditions of 'dancing queen'' or 'Fernando' by wanna be Marias (not all female either !).

Bad boys two on 5 now. Not as good as the first but still enjoyable.

In Bruges last night - very good. No Country for Old Men tonight - not bad, but vastly overrated in my opinion and not a patch on some other Cohen brothers work - Fargo for instance.

I also thought The Boat That Rocks was disctinctly average, oculd have been so much better with the good looking cast (I dont mean I fancy them, just that the cast list looked good).
Was forced to watch Marley & Me yesterday, dont think I've seen such a load of sentimental drivel since being forced to watch Love Actually - avoid at all costs.

I caught Taken with Liam Neeson last night. Not bad and worth a watch if you like a good thriller.

I watched surrogates last night,I still cant make my mind up if i liked it or not tho.It did have an interesting concept tho and i can imagine in the future this could well happen and not be beyond the capabilities of the scientists,if you like sci fi then this is worth a watch if you're bored one evening.
Nothing special but i've seen a lot worse films than this.

Cloverfield:
I've seen it before, quite liked it......
Anyway, whether they like the film or not, the next person to complain that the picture is wobbly and done un-professionally will find that one of their eyes has one of my fingers in it.

My 35 year old brother watched Marley and Me on a Plane and cried. Actually it got to me aswell, without spoiling it for anyone one of the bits of the film brought it all back to what happened only a week beforehand to us.
