Watched Jurassic Park again last night. Bit of a '90s classic. I've recently downloaded the trilogy.
Tbh tho it was all still too familiar cos I've seen it so many times.

Silence of the Lambs is one of my favourite films. It is fucking awesome. The acting is great, the storyline is great and Lecter is such a cool character. It's such a dark film and it's so well done.

I've got Let The Right One In to watch for tomorrow. Have very high expectations, partly due to this thread but everyone seems to be talking it up.

One from Charlie Brooker's latest Guardian Column in which he suggests films that would be better than remaking Pelham 123. Excellent stuff:
Title Come Alive!
Synopsis God decides to grant evangelical preacher Will Ferrell the power to heal the sick with his fingertips. But the almighty's lightning bolt misses its target, hitting Will's penis instead. Now Will is cursed with the miraculous ability to cure any disease or fix any injury – but only if he has full sexual intercourse with the patient. Since Will is also a 45-year-old unmarried virgin with strong views on sex outside marriage, it won't be an easy ride!
Review What starts as a regulation gross-out comedy soon takes an unsettling turn as Will faces an agonising decision at his father's deathbed, before building to a frankly unbelievable conclusion in which a terrorist cell releases the Ebola virus in the local donkey sanctuary . . . and only one man can save the day.

It is basically the best thing ever. I'm waiting for it to arrive from Play atm. Have it on my computer but wanna see the dvd special features. Hopefully there'll be some interview with the director or something. I've got the book too but haven't read it yet.

Ice spiders.
I was hoping that the "ice" could be referring to meth-amphetamine but alas nay. It was about giant spiders that live in an icy environment. They (the spiders) also seemed to be able to ski quite well. Apparently it was some crazy whacky military experiment gone wrong, with some crazy whacky scientists and stuff to make the plot. The head scientist was English was a thick toff accent, naturally.
It is bad, indeed it is beyond bad. Yet I just watched it, all of it.
ICE SPIDERS!!!

Watched the full Lord of the Rings extended edition box set last week on three consecutive nights. I can wholly recommend this as a good way to spend your time.
