Just been on a post payday splurge and have purchased scarface, carlitos way, blues brothers, the history boys, shawshank redemption and goodfellas. As the only one i have seen before is blues brothers, this promises to be an entertaining weekend

Franklyn - British sci-fi film from last year. Some familiar faces from the telly and some extremely nice visuals in places. Story wasn't half bad either.

Currently watching Rendition, what a load of shit.
But halfway through it now, so gotta watch it until the end in case it miraculously becomes good.

Watched History boys. Thought it was good, a bit hard to follow but that may have just been me. Not sure why everyone winds up gay, and the ending was dead sad Sad

Well Rendition was a load of shite, more like a poor, extended episode of Spooks.

Me and the wife watched Seven Pounds. A very sad, but good, film.

Just watched shawshank redemption. It was well good, they should make a sequel focussing on their life in mexico, though perhaps make it a bit lighter

No, they really shouldn't.
How the would the sequel go? Tim Robbins sanding his boat for two hours while Morgan Freeman does the narrating?

Shawshank is probably my favourite ever film though. Smiley

I'm with dave. While they're at it, I want a sequel to the italian job that shows how they get the gold off the teetering bus. Wink

I think a short would be better. The coach crashing to the bottom and exploding with Michael Caine still inside it.

I watched the Anvil documentary last night. It was a bit depressing in parts like them playing to a room of about 3 or 4 people on their european tour and the lead singer trying a shitty telesales job in a desperate attempt to raise money to record a new album. But it was fairly good and had a lot of human interest. Thing is, since that came out I think they've got more of the big gigs they always wanted.

For a really good informative documentary about Metal I'd recommend the (crappily named) Metal: A Headbangers Journey.
