Watched The Number 23 and World Trade Centre last night.  Both crap, in their own special ways.

I saw Angels and Demons last night and contrary to many reviews, thought it was excellent.  I think you'd need to have a slight interest in history to really enjoy it, however it was exactly how I imagined it to be from the book.

I watched that Fighting on Friday, it was actually quite good.

Better than I expected.

I've not read the Da Vinci Code or Angels & Demons. The hype at the time put me off.

I finally got round to watching the Da Vinci Code the other month and it didn't inspire me to read the book. I couldn't really care if there was a church conspiracy, especially given the fact that the Bible has more holes in the plot than a Dan Brown novel supposedly has. I don't think I'll be going out of my way to watch Angels & Demons.

I also finally got round to watching Quantum of Solace last week. Was so un-Bond like and the action didn't really have me on the edge of my seat.

TBF Si the book is vastly superior to the film but if you werent gripped slightly by the film then dont bother with the book.

The books are definitely far better - so cleverly written.

Was disappointed with the Da Vinci code film though but loved the book!

So this doesn't do it for you?

Oh this is the Film thread...
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. Still good but so many other films and TV programmes have referenced/ripped it off that my girlfriend knew exactly what happened without having ever seen it before.

Yeah, I just think I'm going to be let down by the whole religious thriller type efforts after reading Decipher. That was just epic.

Can you let me know what Frost/Nixon is like - Im slightly obessessed with Michael Sheen - Thanks

Watched it last night - have to say, I don't know loads about American history or Nixon (just what I've picked up from Futurama, and what I read on wiki after the film), but I think the film does a very good job of representing Nixon as something of a conflicting character. I found myself drawn to him personally, even feeling sorry for him as he crumbled in front of Frost.

Good watch, I'd recommend it.
