The 70s one with Al Pacino. Don't think it has been remade.

I haven't seen Serpico but from what I remember the guy on the cover of the dvd looks a bit like B Real from Cypress Hill.

I assume by Crash you are referring to the film about racism not the other Crash.  Cheesy Soapy Tit Wank

Aye but the origional is safely tucked away at home in the collection next to my finest Dam purchase yet.  "Watch My Wife Piss 3"

Once We Were Warriors mentioned above is an absolute classic that I must look-up again.  I saw a sequel floating about a year or so ago that is supposed to be worth a sniff.  Anyone had a butchers yet and what did you think of it?

A sequel? I never knew.

I have Once were warriors on DVD, it's a great film, although mightily sombre.

We should do a TEF film club. Pick a film each week and then discuss it like intellectuals.

I'm about halfway through Apocalypto as I type this. I'm a bit bored. Who knew Ronaldinho had enough acting talent to play so many roles in one film.

Maybe I'm being a bit harsh because I know it was done by Mel Gibson who's a bit of a mentalist, but I wasn't too bothered about Apocalypto. It was like someone had read a book on foreshadowing, metaphor and probably other clever things which I can't think of the names of at the moment because I'm very very drunk, but hadn't really understood subtlety. All felt a bit shoved in your face. Saying that, 10/10 on how many different angled shots you can have of people running through jungles.

It's called "What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?"

Temuera Morrison obviously returned but Lee Tamahori didn't and the sequel suffered because of this (in my opinion).

Tamahori hasn't really recovered from this.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/4746004.stm

That is a good idea. Its already a tiny bit like that with people watching others recommendations.

I wouldn't want all the films to be high brow but boring ones tho.

I didn't want to like this, because it was by Gibson, but I did.

I watch it at least once a year, never fails to amuse.

I watched Max Payne tonight, I've never played the game, and this was shit. It should win an award for worst prosthetic dead person too.
