Loved The Departed, haven't seen it in ages - might put it on now... How Mark Wahlberg survived the Marky Mark years to become a pretty good actor is quite an achievement!

Really liked Assassination, the final scenes with Casey Affleck post-Assassination were great.

I watched 'Taken' the other day - pretty good, it's about the only film I'd actively recommend to a customer. Want to watch 'Righteous Kill' but its meant to be wank.

That's the one with Liam Neeson isn't it? I wanted to watch it at the cinema but it never happened. Think I will put it on my rental list.

Infernal Affairs is great as is the sequel... But when in the right hands there's nothing wrong with a remake, especially when considering the Departed.

I've been to see Defiance, Slumdog Millionaire, and The Wrestler recently, and I really enjoyed them all in their own way(perhaps excusing the rather Hollywood ending to Defiance).

I'm off to see Milk tommorow, and I'm looking forward to watching that Benjamin Button one, and Gran Torino next month.  I don't remember there ever being such an abundance of high-quality mainstream films released so close together.

Finally saw Tropic Thunder, last half hour was OK, not as good as I'd have hoped.

American Gangster is like The Wire, condensed into 2 hours, with all the good bits taken out.

I'm going to watch American Gangster in a minute. Surprisingly, I couldn't give a fuck how late I stay up or how drunk I get. I may forget some of the film though.
