Haha. Karma. My nephew just did a giant shit as I was about to serve up lunch.

Also he doesn't seem that keen on the potato, red onion and honey loaf of bread I spent some of the morning making.

I guess it serves me right for being mean.

I started to watch Knocked up.But it was awful, really not my kind of thing at all.Turned it off and watched the Champions league game instead  Smiley

Which was awesome, great match. I've decided I really quite like Atletico Madrid.

I watched The Hand the Rocks the Cradle for the first time tonight. I thought it was really good actually. The woman who played the psycho in it was really good. The whole idea of someone with bad motives gaining access to the sanctuary of a family home is a good one for a horror/thriller. I'm quite into these sort of films but this one is one of the best if not the best I've seen. Fatal Attraction is good but this is a bit better.

Hopefully I will be watching Pi tonight. I've heard from a few people that it's not as good as expectations but I wish to pass my own judgement nonetheless.

Yeah someone I knew told me about it and the way he decribed it and how into it he was made it sound like the best thing ever then I watched it and thought it wasn't very good.

As I was discussing with ibelieveinmrreeves last weekend, cult/faddy films often get so much unjust hype that when you watch them you feel a bit let down.

What are some examples of those sort of films you felt let down by?

Films discussed were those such as Donnie Darko, Napoleon Dynamite and Withnail & I (from memory). I think the eventual conclusion was that it was annoying if you said you didn't rate such a film and the person who did acted liked you'd just defecated on the Pope or had completed a similar faux pas.

Incidentally I like two out of three of these films but they're not the most amazing thing I've ever seen just because others seem to think so.
