after reading the book first I refuse to watch the film - the book is immense and made me cry so many times the film is bound to be a shit let down

Having been forced to watch it several times (fucking Sky), you'd be right.

Just put on A Life Less Ordinary.  I've always liked it, but none of my mates do.

I watched "I Love You, Man" tonight - a decent 6/10 affair, but the soundtrack is fucking awesome and features an appearance by Rush, so it gets moved to an 8.

Saw Gervais' effort ghost town last night and it was a bit of a let down.  Essentially the denist from BBC "comedy" My Family meets Ghost and it was a fairly flat affair all round 4/10

Yeah compared to The Office/Extras it's a bit crap, isn't it? It goes all cheesy at the end too like a lot of hollywood comedies.

Watched The queen, which was very good.Interesting to see recent modern history in a film.Something that i remember happening, was a weird time for sure.

Also The waiting room.Which was also good.Anne-Marie Duff is a goddess! And Ralf Little in the buff, arresting  Smiley

Tremendous performance.  I read somewhere that he had to put on four stone to play the role - that would be a good couple of months.  Consider the scene:

The ladyfriend comes home to find you scoffing a kebab and knocking back cans of lager.  "What the hell are you doing?"  "Working", you reply.  Awesome.

Great film.

I found knocked up quite watchable actually, with a few giggles.

Certainly better than the mass produced Stiller, Vaughn, Jack Black, Ferrell type comedies.

There are two types of people in the world, those who think Anchorman is one of the funniest things ever made, and those who aren't retarded cunts.
