Don't think so, late night opening is usually Thursdays. Saturdays are 9-12. Late night threads are every night Ben's got some White Ace kicking about

I've got a plan to get to 6k. But it's a bit immoral!

Oh right, the plan. On July 31st, if we are short of 6K, get all season ticket holders beg/borrow/steal (actually not steal) an under 7 year old child. Get them a free season ticket. We'd hit 6k no problem. Mwhahahahahahahahha!

Only joking (obviously)
--
Seriously, when I got my ticket I  didn't notice that "under 7's go free" , or rather didn't realise this meant they could get a season ticket of their own - thought it would be on a per-match 'subject to availability) basis. So I have gone and got one. My little one will get to go to a fair few games now, building up through the season (he's only 4 in August). I had intended to buy a ticket on a need by need basis. But this fantastic offer means he now has his own season ticket.

I feel a bit bad that his seat won't be in use every game, but it does mean we can sit next to each other (with a bit of a rejig in out group) and I don't think I am depriving anyone of the seat. We aren't going to sell out every week.

So anyway whoever thought of this initiative, nice one.

just spoke to a mate who works somewhere within the club who reckons we wont get anywhere near the 6k and the inside view is that we will get to around 5,200 tops. I asked what he was basing this on and that was that they were selling between 80-100 a day and now they are selling 30odd.

Think thats slightly pessimistic as sales are bound to pick up in the last two weeks.

If you hear anything else like that keep it to yourself, not having a pop, just think that if it's spread about that me won't make it people will believe it and we won't get anywhere near.

The other clubs who have carried out similar promotions had a mad rush in the final week or so.  Around 30% of all sales occured when the big deadline loomed at Bradford last year I think.  The mere fact of a deadline prompted a pick-up in sales and then the jump in sales caused a rush as people realised all the seats were going and they wouldn't get a decent on matchdays.  Even those who probably felt they might not get to enough games had to buy to make sure they had a seat.

If it's around 5000 with a week to go, I'd think we'll make it and probably go a fair bit beyond it as well.  Just think, 5000 is half the home seats sold for every match.  When that happens we tend to fill the middle 3/4 sections of the 2 main stands to a point where only singles are left.  If people realise that they are going to end up in AA1 if they don't get a season ticket, watch them panic a bit.  5000 with a week to go could very easily equal 7000 sold a week or 2 later.

I'll only get pessimistic if we are around 4000 with a week to go and with around 3600 sold now and a pay day coming, that seems less likely.  Even at 30 a day until the final week would see us around 4600 with a week to go.

We've just bought ours, so that's three more towards the total.

The last season ticket I had was to stand on the old Shrivy Road.

Sounds like a bit of a trek every other week, assuming you are in Peterborough. So well done you!
