It did raise a interesting point though Br ,we all know what it is for but all it says is race for 6k does not mention season tickets.

Yeah, but it's a "brand" isn't it? It's the slogan the whole campaign's running under. Part of the point of such a slogan is to get people to stop and think and ask what it's about - which clearly worked in this case

Yeah i agree paul as i know what its about but on the other hand my missus would not go in and ask why they need £6k.

Dont get me wrong what a refreshing change to see the club advertising and i am more optomistic of hitting the target now than i was 2-3 weeks ago.Just thought that could confuse people but like you say that could be part of the reasoning.

By the way any chance of getting something put on the big screens in town

It's a bit of a balance really - with a drive past slogan like that, all you can do is get people to notice it and hope it sticks somewhere, even if it's just to get them thinking "What's that about, must ask someone". They can't really put the whole season ticket leaflet up on a big banner and hope people will read that as they drive past (not without causing accidents anyway)

I believe the club are working on that, but there's a fair few levels of beaurocracy to jump through as I understand it

3200 now, and roughly 100 being bought a day!  Looking more positive now I would say.

Be interesting to see after June 16th how many they have sold and how many of those are new ST holders.

50 minutes later I've finally got my season ticket the que is still out the door and the ticket office is due to close in 10 minutes.

Witnessed at least 7 new season ticket holders while I was there. Be interesting to hear the numbers by end of play tomorrow.

Sales really have picked up this last week. That's obviously partly due to renewals but the rate we are selling at now puts us easily on target which is great.

I believe we have already exceeded last years total sales. With daily sales in excess of 100, there is no reason why we cant acheive 7,000 with the six weeks to go.

interesting to see the figures at close of play today, should give a good indication of if we expect to hit the 6k mark

I say we possibly need to be 3500+ as there should be a reasobable rise from last season with the new ST holders that have signed up

Got Mine l (3 in total) up one from last year on Saturday, (2 Renewals and 1 additional), Still not sure if were make 6,000 or not.  I really hope so, just needs to keep going a current rate.

It seems to slow a little and then picks up again for various reasons.  ie renewals deadline, payday.
