I agree that a keeper would probably improve us the most at this point. The two we have will cost us the most points.

I agree, I think Bycroft will be a decent keeper in a few years and Barden is a slight improvement on him but we need a solid keeper who can claim crosses and corners far better than both of them. Both are scared of crosses and in L2 you cant have that in a keeper.

The best keeper I saw last season was the Salford keeper who went to Leeds - Alex Cairns, would love to grab him on a 6 month loan from Leeds who he hasnt started a game for yet and has barely made the bench even this season.

Interesting article from Sam M on transfers. Aims for January - new keeper, more attacking width, and keep Smith, Wright and McGregor.

We cannot - absolutely cannot - go into every window trying to cash in our best player from the previous half season, if we have any aspirations to be better than we currently are.

I'd be more than happy with that...

Sounds good, then I woke up. Hence the reason for protests.

I'm assuming it's a Sam M opinion piece rather than based on any kind of source.

One or both of the youngsters are bound to be sold surely - I cant see us getting to the end of January with both kirkman & McGregor being here.

Sadly we would probably accept 10p with a pay later & an extra 10p if they complete 50 first team games clause

In all seriousness who is it that will negotiate any players leaving ?

Previously it was clearly the DoF as at least he had an idea on clauses and fee's etc, but now with nobody but Holloway having experience of how these things work it is worrying.

I know times are tough, but I’m not sure we’re at the stage where we’d struggle to retain the kid with 2 starts and a loan stint at Weston-super-mare under his belt.

And I suspect it’ll be the same people (Standing/Kiely/Austin) negotiating any deals as they probably have been for the past 3 years.
