Was looking at the Crawley forum to see what the hell is going on there with all their player departures (feels like the season after we got promoted with Wellens). On a thread discussing who leaves next someone has stated the next two to leave will be Liam Kelly to Franchise, and Jay Williams to Swindon.

6 foot 2 defender/defensive midfielder, good age.

You’d think Khan would probably be off if that one happened unless he’s coming in at CB which with all the rumours of more incomings there would be somewhat overloaded

Assuming the fact he plays DM as well means he is a ball playing CB. In which case it could be the missing piece in the back three. Russell kept talking about the 'Hoddle' style so he needs a ball playing sweeper in the back three.

I'm not sure we would be overloaded at CB. We have 4 at best (Wright, Delaney, Minturn and Johnson). So need at least 2 more, and thats if you count Johnson, who was signed as more of a longterm project anyway.

You’re probably right there. Think the consecutive years of a barebones squad has gaslit me into thinking a normal sized squad is too many  Cheesy

Loved Jay Williams when he played for Banbury

One of Mino/Johnson should get a NL loan this year hopefully.

Thought you meant Jason Lane... He is shit  Cheesy

I am afraid I cannot comment on his performances at CB, perhaps he could be the missing piece in the jigsaw?  Hmmm

@davec8114 - Apparently Jonny smith  will be rejoining us from Wigan in next few days #stfc

I’m sure his dad will be back on the forum soon if true…

Agreed. Very quick and direct. Used to play out wide though? Not sure thats the formation Kennedy will use unless Smith can play as a wing back?

343 seems the likely first choice formation based on Kennedy at Lincoln. The shape of that front 3 can vary, but its likely one Striker and two number 10's who with the wing backs provide width. So you could have Jonny Smith and Glatz as the two supporting players for a Harry Smith/Drinan. They have the freedom to drop, run beyond the striker etc. Glatz was always described as a 9 and half for example.

34 games for Wigan in league 1 last season and under contract. Surely this isn't going to happen?
