A defender from a side that conceded more goals than we did in the league season who also had THE leakiest defence in L2...I think we will pass on him.

I think it's mostly because I used to play a lot more FM, but a decade or so ago I'd heard of 80% of our signings before they joined. Now it's more like 80% never heard of.
Same as this. You're more aware of who they are when they play us before hand so generally have a better idea because of FM.

TBF I play FM2024 every day and I havent heard of half of these players linked/signed. Unless we came up against them in the last few seasons.

At stages last season i’d have asked a random 6”5 bloke off the street to play CB for us tbf.

Be interesting to see when we start looking at loans, at this level we have to use the loan market but not to fill out the squad, a couple of loans is fine, but our trouble is we seem to find the good ones who become key players and leave in January....catch 22

Catching up on these signings. I’ll be honest, I can’t say I have heard of either of Longelo or Sobowale but after looking them up, they do tick some boxes: - Reasonable experience at this level or above - Good age - Good size
They seem like solid, regular 6/10 type signings that will compliment the star players who are more scatter gun in their good performances well. I think if the rumours of Ryan Delaney come off then I’d be happy, a very large and left footed CB.
However, and this is where some of you may eye roll, as much as I agree that we’re in a better spot than we have been in a while of doing early business (and the type of business), my socks are still firmly on with regards to this season and I’ve not seen enough yet to be confident that the controlling regime have fully rectified all their mistakes. The sceptical side of me feels like we’ll revert to type eventually.

If true, hopefully Ryan Bennett and either Lyle Taylor or Okenabirhie.

Ryan Delaney is the Newport CB we've been linked with, not sure if he got confused with Scott Bennett, who's signed for Cheltenham.
