Yes I agree. So what are the other plausible reasons why the £8m spend is at that level other than Clem trousering it or doing a  Lee. What leads some to the negative conclusions they have. And yes here is one more elephant in room. How many don’t go to matches and sit like voyeurs on Saturdays wanking off on streamed football some revelling in finding an illegal route to watch for free. That other fans do the same on other club forums doesn’t make right the libellous crap some suggest in the name of self gratification.

Apart from our attendances have been brilliant you fucking melon.

I figure ChalkyWhitisGod doest like opinions that oppose his GOD status.  Not very reasoned though. We all know about our attendances but my point is that your chums (and you) miss the point. I have followed STFC since 1964, stood as a young man in the Town End. The income we know all about. The 8m outgoings we don't understand but  you seem to confuse  income and outgoings!
I don't know what your credentials are for personal attacks other than you lack any capability to see a different point of view. So you try to bully people off this site? No can do - I think "fucking twat" and "fucking moron" is a bit strong ol' chap. I remember the battles to prevent opposing fans from "taking the beloved" TownEnd! This reminds me of that - do you remember those days/

It's better that we have perm signings than all loans that will move on.
Unless these are merely downgrades ahead of the departures of Khan and RHM?

So you would prefer loan players coming in to be downgrades of players who haven't left yet, right.

I stood behind the bog wall in the TE when I first started going in 1968. And it’s a damning indictment of owners past and present that it’s still there in all its glory.

What I’m more concerned about than anything else is despite all the shenanigans going on at the club, the people involved, the back hole that swallows money etc there are still a few people on here and social media still back Morfuni and his merry men.

Charlton have signed a midfielder from Plymouth so this fella might be surplus to requirements.

Sent from my XQ-AD51
They signed a 6 foot 3 CB from Plymouth hes not a midfielder.

Reading the Charlton forums about Karoy Anderson the fans really rate him and he looks a great prospect, hes not a goal grabber but is a very attack minded fairly quick player with a good touch but who drifts out of games later on.

Quote
I'm glad we got him on a decent contract before he becomes more known.

Think that contract is one of the best things the new owners have done and does mark a change from what would have happened prior. Credit also has to go to Holden for playing him and showing Karoy that there's a pathway to the first team

I just watched most of the second half of the Jamaica game.  Karoy looked good and definitely didn't look out of place. Karoy came on and he held the right side of central midfield very nicely.  He got forward a fair bit too and hit the side netting with a glorious turn and a bit of skill - he might be a bit disappointed to have scuffed his finish somewhat but he is only 19, so I would like to think he will gain composure in time.

Mark my words he is going to be a serious player and we definitely haven't seen the best of him yet.

I do think it was noticeable that Anderson was not up to the pace of things when he came on last week, but after a while he was fine which maybe people missed due to seeing two or three times him being caught out. I think this is part of his learning and we have to accept that. He is going to be a top player I think and that may be as early as this season.

Well done Karoy. An excellent debut for an 18 year old in an important position.

Great debut for an 18 year old, big future ahead of him. Glad we’ve got him on a long term contract.

I'm delighted we have Anderson signed for 4 years, and have been particularly impressed by him pre season, but I think 'didn't look ready' is more or less spot on (just based on today). He did struggle, and the narrative going into the game around him has clouded people's views on how he played today IMO.

Thought he was excellent in the first 30-40. His close control and shielding got us out of a number of tight spots.

but you was saying he doesn’t look ready. My view is he does, it just looked worse for him that Camera come on looked head and shoulders above those around him.

Did very well in spells today.
A real prospect.

Thing is with debutants, fans seem to think they have to make a firm judgement on day one. I.e,  they were brilliant or they were crap and usually it's the former with academy youngsters. But more often than not, it's actually somewhere in the middle, like with Karoy today.  He did some things really well, others not so. Looked lively first half and less so second half. 6/10 is ok sometimes..

How good are the kids feet in tight situations - Anderson , TC and NA seem to have the ball glued to their boots when they are under pressure. The also see to be fearless and always wanting the ball.

I thought he was great. I don't know who those saying he's not ready have been watching, France I guess.

I thought he did really well for the first half an hour, a little bit sloppy towards the end of the first half giving it away too easily.
Overall though he did well for his first game, without a doubt good enough to be involved with the squad.

He misplaced a few passes and got stuck in well. He needs to be around the first team

I thought it was a perfectly decent debut, and impressive for an 18 year old, but if you were to judge him purely as a L1 midfielder, he was nothing special. Lets not go over the top about him, he's a really talented kid learning his trade. He'll get plenty of minutes, but I'd be surprised if he started that many L1 games, barring injuries to other players.

Surprised by this stat, but fair play to him. I felt he has looked sluggish and slow on the ball in recent games - in pre season he seemed to be able to glide by players - but now feels like he needs to quicken his game up.

No, I prefer permanent signings but can’t help worry that it’ll be one perm in one perm out. A bit like a ladies hairdressing salon in the ‘80’s…

Hutton to Stockport?!?

Yeah he’d fit there like a glove if they still play wing backs. Strong CB’s to make up for his defensive faults and good forwards who can attack crosses, with Touray and Bristow as options on the left and Knoyle and Hutton as options on the right, that’s very good depth.

Thought they might have wanted him in the summer to be honest
