Appreciate it may have been a Sandro policy but have we abandoned our stated aim not to be reliant on loans?
I think this summer and how we are stuck with nearly a whole squad has put made us go with this. Still a few signings to come though so will be a mix

Doidge sounds a bit like Doyle. I’m sold

…when they could both go back!
If that happens then the likelyhood is we are doing well, lets worry about that then. Every other club with loan signings face the same issue

Someone on Twitter suggesting Doidge at Hibs as a rumour.
Nothing at all on any of the 3 main Hibs forums, not a word about him since his loan to Kilmarnock when he was touted to join us on loan. 3 goals in 27 games last season.

Could have agreed optional fees on these loan players as well. Plenty of football to take place before we worry about loans going back...

Contracted players can leave almost as easily as loan players, squad building at this level is window to window really so think we probably need to not worry about that so much. Both our L2 seasons in this run have seen big changes in Jan - under Garner, all the loans changed. Under Morris and SDM, lots of permanent players left and some joined.

Don't forget we'll have our inevitable cup runs to fill the coffers and allow us to strengthen significantly in January!

Doesn't really matter if the loan players leave in Jan. If we don't get some decent fucking DEFENDERS in, we'll be fucked anyway.

Yeah really hope it’s plain sailing with getting the UGM and Edwards deals over the line.

Would be a real shame to miss out on either because we desperately need both of them.

Personally I can understand why people don't like season long loans with recalls. During the Garner season we had top class players that were recalled and it means that you have to 'start' again in January.

That said, players being recalled don't really bother me too much. If your recruitment plans are good enough you should be able to get sufficient replacements. It's not ideal per se, but personally it's not something I worry about. Kemp and Young are of that age whereby if they are a success and really enjoy it here, could potentially become permanent options. That said, given their ages, we'd have to find money for them probably. But again, worry about that when the time comes.

This is certainly the priority now. Can you imagine our back line on Saturday if we don't get any defenders?

Maybe it's the distance and not being that in tune with the players in our League these days, but can someone explain WTF the point is in signing a young, relatively inexperienced L2 players as a potential back-up striker on LOAN??

Wakeling can almost certainly play centre back.
