Pretty sure when we signed Ben Gladwin from Marlow, that was announced on a Saturday morning. I think the 5pm/early evening slot is to maximise traffic from social media/website clicks as most people are home from school/work or whatever.

Anything between 5pm and 6pm as most people are either finishing work or commuting so definitely a peak time for checking socials/forums etc.

Lunch used to be good but with so much flexible working patterns, late afternoon/early eve remains King {or Queen or Jester} for many announcements. It's nothing new though, we've had the main and  most watched news bulletin be 6pm for years.

That's true, was about 11am. I think your right, they messed up the reveal and it was done at the training ground rather than a fancy drone type reveal IIRC.
