I reckon we'll probably need to offload a few players before we can bring anyone new in.

I don't know what the budget is.

But although we have already shed players we apparently lose 500k a season - which we are trying to save - so I'm worried its not far off.

That said, Clem may dip in to his pockets...

I like and rate Brewitt, but I hope he has been given a very firm date by which to piss or get of the pot!

Whelan reckons he is assessing his options after being told he probably wont be a starter. Fair enough

I'm not that fussed but agree.

That said, he came in without much of a run up so I'm being a bit unfair

Ah well yeah. Fair.

He wouldnt be a regular starter for me if I were Flynn, hes a solid backup but not quite good enough for a starting place week in week out.

I will be happy if he did extend but not bothered if he doesn't.

As for Clayton I have heard he wasn't fully settled at Swindon which was one reason behind us bringing in Cain to aid him, and I am pretty sure most of the young players only rent in Swindon.

Very few have not moved hook line and sinker to the Town so a break back in Liverpool may be what is needed for him to get in the right place for next season.

Most of our players live in London anyway don't they - or have I (quite possibly) imaged that?

On a similar vein I was chatting to a mate the other night and the only way I can see Kane playing abroad is PSG as he could basically commute from London to do that anyway!

Clayton I don't think will be at Swindon next season, he hasn't settled living in Swindon and has moved back to Liverpool so that will be a long commute for him.

That would be hugely disappointing.

It would, only small silver lining is that we would likely get a few quid for him which could be reinvested.

Young person rents shocker.     The average age of a first time buyer in the UK is 37!
I doubt very much a 21 year old league 2 player can afford even to rent their own place.

I like Brewitt but I feel that he is unlikely to get many better clubs than ours hammering his door down... You'd imagine the money on the table was baked into his January deal so he knew what he was going to be offered.

Spot on prices are extortionate and would need 2,3 or even 4 players to pay the bills

I can’t imagine Clayton has ‘moved back to Liverpool’ more in so much as that he’s ‘gone home during the holidays’

He ‘stayed’ in Swindon but doubt he ever really ‘moved’ to Swindon.

Imagine it’s much like when you go to Uni. Stay there most of the time and head back home for the summer/any other time you can.

Can’t imagine many players relocate here properly, especially on 1 or 2 year deals.
