massive shame adeloye wasnt on the bench today, 3 nil up 70 mins gone. sub austin for him would have been ideal in a pressure free scenario.

Concur.
Would have made more sense than bringing on Kanu in the short term.

I assumed he's off out on loan.

unless he's injured and I missed it

Read the match day thread and the after match comments from Gunning - He’s not injured. He just wasn’t in the squad. I interpreted it to mean he’s off out on loan.

Not sure about letting Reed go to a promotion rival, regardless of how poor he's been this year.

Problem is with only 6 months left and a chance to cash in you can't really choose. Not a huge list of suitors and after a player who's Dad wants to kick off every week

Plus, if he just passes sideways he’ll make a promotion rival slower and less attacking.

Going by how important Hutton looks for Austin today, Tomlinson can stay at Peterborough unless he comes without Hutton going the other way.
With rumoured interest for Kahn and Hutton, for me it's paramount we keep those two. Sell at the end of the season if we must.
That's the first time I've looked at Khan and thought we could move on from Reed.

Sorry DMC are you saying we are after a player? The last part confused me.

I think the ‘and’ is the rogue word in there

Sorry yeah meant read although i think it's safe to say we will be after a midfielder. With Reed gone and the other options being slow and injured we are screaming out for a young athletic type to sit alongside Khan

A young athletic midfielder hopefully. I'd like to see us sign a few more like Clayton in the window. Young and good pedigree and good footballers.

I liked Reed, will miss him but he's out of contract and was never going to re-sign. If we're getting a decent fee then it's smart business, just depends who we bring in to replace him. Best FK taker in STFC history? Not a huge amount of competition for that.

Anton Rodgers might have made a much better living out of the game if free kick special teams were allowed.

That's fine but I think you need to be careful not to dilute the "experienced group" too much. it's not that young players can't be better, but if we were in the playoffs hunt you need a few 'been there and done that' to keep it cool. imo

depending on who else leaves that is

I think we got a good balance of experience in the team/squad. I'd argue our more experienced players are the ones who have slowed us down and not performed at times this season. I know what you mean though but I think that's why I mentioned Clayton, captain at under 24s and a good player, I'd like more like that and less Harries,Tomi and Masseys
