Darcy is a fans favourite for looking like a flare player and having some long shots against Newport. Someone needs to work that out before we get rid of Khan.

Khan arrived really highly rated from Chesterfield. A league most say top end is similar standard. Darcy wouldn't get too many suitors in our league I feel.

Iv always said we don't play with in the right position but he's not 1st choice for me

Luongo would be dreamy and would explain us getting rid of central midfielders.

I thought Luongo had only recently signed for Middlesbrough? I very much doubt he is anywhere near the player he was when he was with us last time.

Signed a contract in September but only runs to January…
…and he’s played 0 games.

When are we likely to know if FBT & Brennan are being recalled.

Presumably after today or Colchester.

If either (or both) are recalled then we clearly need another LB & CH.

Tomlinson would be a great option at FB if we can afford to sign him

Can be recalled up till the end of Jan.  You'd hope the club would get a heads up but not always the case if late bid comes in.

FBT is a player I’d like to see us push the boat out for. Out of contract at Burton in the summer. Covers two positions well. Good age, and a leader. Also suspect we haven’t seen the best of him, on the basis we know a lot of this lot have more in the tank than they are currently showing (*I still believe on that basis the best new signing would be a manager that can elevate the whole squad)..

If we don’t get him, Tomlinson is also a good shout but unlike last year, we need the cover in the middle (where FBT can also play) more than we need cover at right back (where Tomlinson can also play, replacing Hunt last year whereas we now have both Hutton and Lavinier).

I see what you’re saying but quite frankly the only way for the club to please everyone is by winning football matches.

Everything else falls by the side if the club are winning
Which with the current midfield we are not doing so they may explore getting rid and bringing in better i suppose. I wouldn't be against getting rid and bringing in better

I am not keen on either Khan or Darcy.
In their favour, both put in plenty of work, effort and running, and both will try to take players on.
However, Khan’s pirouette every time he receives the ball slows play down and he is prone to giving the ball away and then picking up a booking for the resulting foul. Darcy runs at players but again his decision making is poor - he loses the ball in poor areas and often by holding the ball too long runs into a blind alley.
Of the two, Khan’s greater physicality provides something a few of our midfielders lack, but for me, Ellis Iandolo is a far better player than either of these two.
Re FBT - I like him and would sign if possible. But we need to regard him as an emergency option only at centre back, as he is clearly a left back. As a CB, if you see him when we are building from the back, his left footedness effectively cuts off the option of passing  to the left back , he has to go the other way, which makes the press easy for opponents.
Others will disagree - as the weekly man of the match polls show, we all see games differently.
It may also depend on whether we view games live or on a screen.  Having done iFollow a couple of times recently, it’s very different from watching live as you miss the off the ball work which players are doing.

Sky dropped a real bollock releasing that Charlie Austin video. I imagine the club are not too happy with them.
