Tomlinson is also a good shout but unlike last year, we need the cover in the middle (where FBT can also play) more than we need cover at right back (where Tomlinson can also play, replacing Hunt last year whereas we now have both Hutton and Lavinier).

The thing with Tomlinson is he can play right or left as he is properly two footed.
Lavinier has been playing on the left but not having a left foot is always looking to cut back inside.

Agreed. I wasn’t comparing Lavinier to Tomlinson. Lavinier shouldn’t be considered a left back at all. He does his best, but having him there really limits us and slows the play down when he has to cut back inside whether we’re attacking or even in our own half. I was just making the point that we’ve got two other right backs in the first team squad unlike last season. The fact Lavinier is even here is another product of ballsed up squad-building, because until Lavinier arrived, Lindsey had seemingly written Hutton off as a right back. Now, Lavinier is a very tidy player, but he is absolutely a right back, which we already have.

The whole thing is fecking odd, club obviously sanctioned the filming in the ground so knew about it, so someone has dropped an almighty bollock somewhere.

Club going to look like complete pricks if it falls through for any reason, which is just going to fan the flames of an already pretty fractured relationship between some supporters and the management.

Assuming Sky were asked to attend the County ground to interview Austin you would think there would be a consensus on what could be released with the clubs approval.

Honestly, of the players we signed permanently in the summer, I’d only be sad to see Clayton go. The rest are all replacable in my opinion.
Even Wakeling has done next to nothing since he signed the new contract.

Really is the stand out player. Only one I could see staying with the club if we somehow managed to rise through the divisions.
