problem is you'd think we'd have to pay off contacts in full ( unless they find clubs to go to in January ). Would that leave us any better off?
I think devine is injured anyway

Honestly, of the players we signed permanently in the summer, I’d only be sad to see Clayton go. The rest are all replacable in my opinion. Even Wakeling has done next to nothing since he signed the new contract.

let’s assume we keep Jephcott which I see no reason why we won’t do, you will then have him, Austin as two number 9’s….Williams & Wakeling either side….still have shade (who I think is poor) as another back up. I get about paying up contracts however, I think that doesn’t count towards the wage budget (I could of course be wrong.) we may have to write a few off to sign a few on.

Yeah I’d go along with that. The loan boys such as Brynn, FBT have been decent however I’m Not sure we have a chance in keeping either. Maybe FBT….

Would be foolish to get rid of Khan, Darcy or Wakeling this season. Not the finished articles at all but the potential is definitely there for them to improve.

But someone has to stump up the actual cash. Clem. if we could move them on a free transfer or even move them on and pay a % of their wages that would do it

Really don't get the clammer for Khan. He's an average league 2 player, loads of energy but can't pass or shoot. For me, him and Darcy are similar, happy for them to be in our squad but I'd take money for either. Fair play to Khan if he has bagged a decent payrise but he is nowhere near a top end league 1/ championship player, a real tryer but lacks quality. He's miles off Jack Payne for example.

Why can’t we get a better midfielder than Khan in - to play along side Khan and try and offload those midfielders who aren’t cutting it.
Money?

You could say almost exactly the same about Reed (ok he can pass sideways) & most fans have a hard on for him.

Khan is a decent enough player for this level, a useful different option. I’d liken him to Linganzi but better. That said, isn’t he 26 already? If so I don’t think he will improve massively, just soften some of his rough edges.

Exactly. All opinions isn't. Just shows the balancing act the club have really as they'll not please everyone.

An Aussie account I saw that had tweeted about Austin returning to Swindon also suggested that should Luongo's Ipswich trial not go well, he would expect to see him back at Swindon in January

I see what you’re saying but quite frankly the only way for the club to please everyone is by winning football matches. Everything else falls by the side if the club are winning
