I heard he was there to hand in a written transfer request.

Sent from my CLT-L09

Done by his agent, hand written? Do me a favour, that is soooo last century. Email 😉 is the way forward.

Crocs are just about ok poolside.

But to actually wear them out... you've given up on life

Croc's are great, just have to be comfortable with your masculinity to wear then outside the garden  Wink

egbo

Garners man, higher league, more cash

it's not tricky

In that sense you’re right but a lot of people had heard that he’d practically agreed a new deal.
Like I *think* him signing for Charlton is probably *news* to the club as well.

Obviously he never signed anything here - so whether he would have if we’d had a manager in place to push it within the last three weeks who knows? Maybe as soon as Garner was ‘officially’ in at Charlton and he got sort out his targets it was a formality he’d go there.

I think that’s the kicker here, not that he went but the fact it looked like he was going to stay before he went if that make sense…

Yeah, of course it makes sense. Another body to find now.

Do did the club know that egbo was not going to sign or was it a surprise to them to see him rock up at charlton - thought they may have announced he had decided to leave

Baudry was also great in the Wellens promotion season, having to play with all sorts of other CB's because of injuries and a light squad.

He had a shocker in LG1, but with Kovar behind you, and Sheridan managing you. Who the hell wouldn't.

We can do a lot worse than have Baudry. Very important for passing out from the back as well. Would like a quicker/more physical CB to partner him if we can.

Also i loved his interaction in that Oldham game, when Sheridan came back. He really tilted them and caused that ruckus, well played Frenchy.

Egbo had verbally agreed to sign.  People interviewing for the HC role were being told it was done.  I don't think the club saw it coming..

Be interesting to see whether he physically has a whole season in him or whether he needs to be rotated like Gladwin / Williams

…or…whether that rotation was purely a Garner thing!!

Could be a good mentor for Minturn, if we can get AK to renew and sign a couple more that'll be a decent CB team imo.

I'd make him captain... Much more of a leader than Conroy... Sorry Duke Wink

Minturn looked very promising when I saw him play for Chippenham... Couple of levels below I know but still...

Ideally we'll have 3 more first choice cbs and him and Baudry can be our PJT pairing to test the waters. But hey I'm getting ahead of myself, maybe we're going to start the season with those 2 as our starting pair.
