Have we ever had a channel islander play for us before?

Cracking signing, some great headers in the pompy goals so hopefully a few more goals from a corners this season.

Good deal for the club too, 1 year with an option on 2.

Looked to be a poacher from here. Some decent ranged efforts on either foot as well.

Very Doylesq. Goals from close in, far out, headers, both feet and pens. Looks like he will be just the ticket in our team. Expecting tomorrows bench to read Matthews, Caddis, Conroy, Matt Smith, Johny Smith, Hope and Pitman. Good options and squad complete with exception of confirmation of Fryer as back up keeper and one more wide forward option.

As good a Doyle replacement as we could have realistically hoped for given finances. Should score plenty in a Wellens side.

Going by Wellens’ recent comments we should still expect Woolery (or replacement) plus Yates’ replacement...so two more attacking options still to be added.

If that's the case then expect Hope to be sacrificed.

That's the scrappy poacher sorted, with decent aerial threat too. Happy with that 1yr deal, just enough to get the job done. Clever signing. Town don't get lumbered if he doesn't do well and Pitman knows if he just does what he does best, he can replicate Doyle to then go get a final payday somewhere else. There is plenty of incentive for the player and Town's track record to back that up.

Have a feeling;

Woolery & Hope >>> Out
GK & Another FWD >> In

Before 12th September.

We're looking good and we haven't even kicked a ball yet. Bet the bookies are regretting that 2/1 v Charlton. Thanks for the free moneyyyyy*  Cheesy

*We'll lose 1-6 now.

I think the Woolery saga has become farcical it's dragged on too long
