Edit - reported on the rumours site that Northampton are sniffing around, too and a cryptic Turnbull tweet!

Good news!

All I'm reading is deal offered and we're hopeful.

He'll have options and he would have teams watching during his Town trial.

Hope it goes through.

That Turnbull message looked like 'Hey Lloyd, I'm watching that thing on Netflix that you said was good..."

I’m trying to think of an alternative to ‘pot’ and ‘kettle’.

Give me time!

Birmingham are expected to sell Vassell today with Luton interested (according to Alan Nixon). That could be the move that allows Hylton to move on. Once Premier League clubs start letting kids on loan too, there must be more movement. Fingers crossed. I suspect we’ll not have the strikers this week, but you never know.

When does the Transfer Window for us slam shut?

Wellens was saying on the Loathed Strangers podcast that the extension actually hinders us as Premier/Championship clubs keep hold of their players for longer.

On the positive side Wellens was saying he still wants 4/5 players so is well aware we are short.

Thanks, OK then that's not too much of an extension then.

5pm on 2nd September.

Players who are without clubs can still be signed after 2nd September as long as their contract ended before or was terminated on or before that date.

From the station at Colchester
To the cells of Warrington
From the services at Leicester
To the slums of Northampton

We travel over England
And one day Europe too

Cos we all follow the Swindon
We're the famous Town End crew.
