It値l be interesting to see what this week brings. I知 hoping we don稚 see the influx of no hoper triallists and can allow the new lot to bed in. I知 also hoping we値l see a new slimline Diagouraga - that would be like a new signing.

FOOTBALL : @BBCWiltsSport understands @Official_STFC are signing versatile full-back Rob Hunt, who's just left Oldham #stfc
a potential RB with experience in league 1 and 2 with age on his side to improve. Reg does this match to the promotion profile that was needed? Hunt was excellent when we had him on loan. A big disappointment when we signed him permanently and particularly poor last season - too lightweight. Been one of his biggest critics of late but I do actually think he's better than this league (he showed he was when on loan). As someone else has said, maybe he hasn't settled up north - such things can throw people off their game. A good move for both parties. a mix of reviews from the Oldham forum. half happy he's gone, half expect him to perform away from Oldham.

By my reckoning now we致e signed Yates the Hope, Doyle and Stevens rumours sound fanciful. The need must be for a target/hold up man - an Obika type, with a young loanee for the bench.
I doubt very much Wellens will want to dispense with Woolery as he seems to place great store in pace.
Apart from a couple of loans and 2 more perm, we池e done.

It's more like it, of course it will help if he's decent. Presumably Wellens will have worked with Hunt before so knows what he's getting.

Early in the day to announce a signing, I wonder if there are a couple more today.

I reckon depending if there are more outs, we're not far off done on ins. Hopefully another front man at some point, then leave a couple of loan spaces until the end of August in case of injuries cropping up. It's certainly a new feeling on recent years, to be going into the start of a season at least looking like there is some sort of organisatioin and plan.

Posted the below last Monday
We all know what gets said as the plan in preseason and the reality of what happens are quite different. There is no reason to be concerned at this point but there are checkpoints that start appearing where you lose something.
The first is the opening day of preseason 24th - You want all players there so everyone has the same fitness work, plus an element of bonding etc.
First preseason game 2nd July - all about fitness so as above you want as many of the squad available as possible.
Weekend of 6/7 July they go away for week long training camp - Bonding/fitness you imagine the real tactical work starts etc.
As said i'm not worried at this point but given the rebuild referred to at the end of last season you start losing out on something pretty soon. Training camp is the bigger one, so over the next 3 weeks if the majority of business is not done then i would start to worry.
Ignoring the chance all the signings are rubbish its refreshing how different this preseason and how much better the club seems to be running. Get that ball winning midfielder and some more goals in the team and things are looking good. Looking forward to the Supermarine game and knowing who i am watching and it not being a collection of trialists.

If he's going the wing back route we're probably a CB short, bar that and the goalie fella, probably 2 strikers in.. They might all be there at training this morning.

Please can someone update the squad list as I have completely lost track of who has arrived and who was actually complete conjecture?

Almost there - 2 strikers, a flexible wide forward, a CM and GK would do me now. Still got three loan spots to play and would expect one of them to be a wild card in addition to the above.
Think we'll have 2 more in this week.
