Not wishing to clutter up the hope thread, but out of interest I crunched the numbers of leading scorers of sides finishing in the auto slots in Div 4 for the 18 seasons of the 21st century.

So that's 18 seasons, giving 54 separate promotions.  What it reveals is that 37% of auto teams have had a 20+ goalscorer, whereas 63% of auto teams have not had a 20+ goalscorer. No side has had 2 20+ men.

In that time the single most prolific was Andy Morrell of Wrexham who scored 34 goals in 02-03 as they finished 3rd. In only 5 of the 18 seasons has the team winning the league had a 20+ goalscorer. Last season Billy Kee managed 25, previous to that it was Craig Davies with 23 at Chesterfield  in 10-11.

On 7 occasions Div 4 has been won with a leading scorer with no more than the 13 Luke Norris got last season.  On 2 occasions a team winning Div 4 has had Gary Roberts a wide midfielder as leading scorer with 11.

This figure surprises me, I still want a 20+ goal striker though as well as spreading several goals between the rest of the side Cheesy

Innis stands at 6'5". Built like a tank. Arrested a couple of years ago for smashing a bottle over someone's head.

An impressive number of 8 loan clubs over the years - since 2013. Would have thought that by now Palace must know if they want him or not.

Nothing beats a giant brick shithouse in L2.

In 15/16 Cobblers won Div 4 leading scorer Marc Richards with 15.... 4 more than he scored for us last season in half a season, so he could score a similar number of goals this year.

His father went to prison, his mother a drug addict, he has 3 police cautions and was a former alcoholic.

Chequered history off the field to say the least!

tbf, he was released after 3 days on appeal. Still doesn't sound like he'd be an immediate shoe-in for helping out with the Football in the Community after school clubs, though

Alfie Potter chose not to play Friday in case he got injured.

Alfie Potter can fuck off as far as I'm concerned.
