going back a little bit, look at the shit di canio signed as "experienced players"..... Navarro, Hollands, Martin, Harley etc  Grin

He didnt sign Harley, Cooper did. Remember Tijane Reis also

Hollands was class.

Chris Martin was ok but was played with an injury.

I'll give you Navarro though, what a fucking awful player and waste of money he was

I wanted Alberto Comazzi's move to work out so much.

He told me to not put money on it.

Martin would have been good if we had him till end of the season.

Danny Hollands was quality and Chris Martin was staggeringly unfit, he'd have been class otherwise.

Even Harley wouldn't stand out as shit in this team.

Imagine a zoo that has predominantly monkeys and a few lemurs. You go every year and after a couple of years you get bored shitless. The owner says all he can afford are monkeys and lemurs because they don't cost much to buy or look after. After a couple of years people say fuck this I want a pangolin or a tiger. Ive had enough monkeys and lemurs I want a pangolin or a tiger.

I was gonna mention Djibril Cisse but Reg has really pulled it out of the bag with that one, touché.

I would say though, if that's the analogy we're working with, there probably wouldn't be a lot of people hoping all the zoo keepers get sacked and all the monkeys euthanised, though. They'd probably want to keep some around for balance.

And sitting outside one of the little monkey's cage calling him a cunt would be weird. Poor little Anton monkey.
