Voted QPR MoM against us on Wednesday on their forum.
He has come to get game time so I think he will be starting matches at Barrys expense.
Which is my point - Barry was excellent from Xmas onwards last season and looked good so far this year too, signed a new long-term contract and developing very nicely. To drop him for a loanee would be frustrating in my opinion. We did need cover down that side granted. Fingers crossed Barry continues to develop by using the competition, but the fear is that we've agreed to give Furlong starts at the expense of our own promising young player.

I'm going to put a name out there Rohan Ince 23 year old defensive midfielder could be an ideal partner alongside Kasim due to be sent out on loan for game time. Brighton connection😚

Rohan Ince would be a ridiculous signing, and incredibly unlikely (unless Kasim left, but even then...). Scored one of the best goals I've ever seen at the CG too, in the League Cup a few years back.

He was in court yesterday charged with GBH. I know we need a bit more steel defensively, but . . .

So exactly what the Gills fan said about Norris?
I haven't seen a single Gills fan say Norris is lazy. In fact almost everything I've seen has been exactly the opposite!

I dont think there is any way at all we will get Ince in on loan, far too good for this level.

I saw some bloke out running in a Swindon top.
He had hair.
A potential signing?
Was he with other professional footballers?

This does seem a bit odd, given Barry's development last season and the model, but there could be a number of reasons if it is Furlong and he is solely a RWB....maybe Williams sees Barry playing a different role (he does like versatility)....maybe Furlong can play a different role....maybe Barry is being sold.

If Barry gets injured who else do we have to play that position? Sensible decision I think, given how crippled we were last season with injuries having two players for each position seems a great idea to me.
It's a little harsh on him if he's dropped.

Nathan.. Furlong can play a few places from what I've read. I wouldn't be surprised to see them both in the same side with Furlong in front of Barry, as an attacking RM.

totally agree with you on this for me Barry is great going forward but suspect defensively something I think opposition managers have noted, so Furlong as RWB and Barry in front of him as an attacking midfielder makes sense to me.

There were some quotes on here when we signed him, no idea of the source but that's where I picked it up from?

What we need is a screenshot from Football Manager identifying his positions and stats?

Possibly, although we don't tend to play with two players down the flanks. We'll see I guess! either way, getting bodies in (and ones that look decent on the face of it too) is never a bad thing.
