Not sure if he'd fit in here unless he was good on the left wing cutting inside as thats how Paolo loves it and on the right is Matt Ritchie who is the first name on the team sheet.
Agree Ritchie is a class act from what I've seen from him , However green has been known to Play on the left or as an Attacking Midfielder , So Even with both him and Ritchie in the team I feel it could work.

Ward has signed an 18 month contract.
Solid signing this. Didn't rate him after his first few performances but has settled in nicely and has a great attitude.

Agree. I wonder if Di Canio will be looking to offload Flint, as we seem to have a few CBs? Personally I'd rather see Archibald-Henville go, but I'd be surprised if we'd make our money back!

Very happy with getting Ward on a perm deal. 18 months is probably about right for a 34 year old.

Ward has looked solid consistantly now for a while after a shaky start, almost the Greer-type player we were missing in 10/11? Very happy he's signed!

Great news to find the wages to keep Ward.
I think we should accept offers for Benson, Rooney, Cox and Risser. Bit of a shame for the first two, but what's the point if they aren't anywhere near playing.

Please we have signed Ward, a no nonsense, solid, reliable, experienced defender who has settled down with us now.
Hope A-H comes good but looks like a bad piece of business here, how much did we have to pay for him in the end?

Sam Morshead can only dream of having as much info as Tans. I reckon Tans is William Patey. Hello Sir William!

Yup, £40,000 more if we get promoted plus a 20% sell-on clause. Collins was £140,000 plus £20,000 per 15 appearances and a 20% sell-on clause. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19665024
