So assuming Ellis goes, and the other rumour about MacDonald attracting interest, now that we've sold Louis Reed, I assume that would make Charlie Austin Captain elect? With Williams as backup?

Gunning said Clayton was a future club captain, i think at the time we thought that was future seasons, not by Feb!

You don't remember Club Call, or whatever the phone line that cost 45p per min was?

I used to use that to find out if matches were on before travelling down. Once at work i didn't put the phone down properly, and it cost me £20 when the bill came through! Even Ossie used to speak really slowly to drag the call out as long as possible. They were the days....

"During his fourth spell at SN1, Gladwin became a first-team regular, making more than 50 appearances in red and white and contributing six goals."

Does sound a bit ridiculous, looking forward to his fifth spell! Heard that's always the best one.

He's only on a 1.5 year deal at Crawley so never say never!

That said, Sandro's spreadsheet has a formula =IF'AGE'>=28 then 'FALSE' else 'Flog to the highest bidder' so I doubt we'll be seeing him don the red of Swindon again.

Is Sandro's motto if the offer received is more than we paid then accept offer

It’s probably if the players wants to leave and the club are being offered money, take it.

I know that logical reasoning doesn’t fit in with the anti Sandro agenda but so be it…

Ben Gladwin has the affinity with Swindon Town that people pretend Charlie Austin has

Do you think we will have a replacement lined up? I imagine Gladwin may have been one of the bigger earners (if his contract was post embargo era)?

Does he want to leave? Given the affinity with Swindon. If he does i would ask why? What isn't right here that he wants to play at Crawley. Outside of money of course. I remember hearing he was on very little with us because of his injury record previously.

I assume if he didn’t want leave - he wouldn’t have left.
