Absolutely agree-McGovern just aint got it.Apart from one decent shot he did nothing. His passing is woeful. He's been for me,the biggest disappointment since Gareth fucking Whalley

But he started brightly, and the Franchise fans (sorry, customers) rated him.  What's gone wrong?

Seems to me he's a winger who wants to play in the middle and can't

Plusses last night;Jack Smith looking solid and dependable, good distribution as always;Ifil looking more like his old self, specially first half;MacNamee-a constant threat, this guy needs a long run in the side;Cox's workrate
Minuses;Brezovan's hesitancy on several occasions;McGovern's inability to have any influence on procedings yet again
;Easton who I expected a massive game from back in his preferred role;Cox's finishing
All in all we missed Paynter really badly

I don't think we missed Peacock whatsoever, Easton did ok and Zaboub was good enough.  If we'd taken our early chances and the Cox chance in the second half that would have been a comfortable victory.

He wants to play for Leeds. He said so himself the other week. He's been poor since Sturrock left and i don't rate him at all. Haven't seen much from him since he joined sadly.

The thing about MM that has puzzle dme is against Leeds Roberts was the only player looking to threatened Leeds, so what does he do, take him off.

Same last night McNamee real dangerman, so he takes him off.  Why?

Er, I was at the Leeds game, and Roberts wasn't taken off, he played the whole game....im not sure where you got that from. In my personal opnion, Roberts frustrated me big time that game - he was so predictable and he should have been taken off after about 60 minutes and replaced with McNamee. Thats what annoyed me about Malpas that game.

But taking McNamee off last night was just mental.

Cox not good enough?  Why because he missed a sitter??  FFS every striker who's ever played football has missed a sitter like that.  Imo it's true what theses managers say about strikers who miss chances like that "I'd be more worried if he didn't get himself into positions like....".

The lad will be fine, fuck me I do wonder what our Premier Leage experience would have been like when Jan couldn't score to save his life with people posting this kinda of stuff.

Cox's game last night, barring the miss, was fine, completely good enough.

I disagree. He's our one really potent striker and if he misses from two yards he's not doing his job, that miss could (and only 'could' admittedly) have cost us a point. I rate him loads but at the moment he looks like he could do with a midweek reserve match to get him on the way again.
