Right these are my observations they are not a rant before Dv takes the morale highground and tells me im over reacting.
I think we need to judgeMalpas on what he does in the summer if im honest BUT I seriously can see why they have not taken to him some of his decisions are baffling at the least.
Jamie Vincent is simply not good enough at fault for the goal (again) distribution awful offers nothing going forward and the nail in the coffin was when he got beat over 30 yards to the ball by Alan Thompson .
Craig Easton has been Imo our best central midfielder this season so please stop playing him on the right .
When we are drawing away Malpas changes the attack yet when we are losing at home he brings on mcgovern and that’s it?
Phil Smith is not better than Brezovan ,
And finally our best attacking player and best crosser seems to be Comminges so lets try him on the wing for fuck sake
Apart from that keep up the good work Maurice
Finally I thought Paynter was superb on Saturday worked his bollocks off and fair play to him

I loved it at one stage of the match Miguel had just run one length of the pitch, then chased the ball down in by Leed's penalty area, then Leeds broke and attacked us, so Miguel sprinted another length of the pitch, by which stage he was quite clearly knackered (only for a min or so). He was class at the weekend.

Paynter and Comminges have both been superb in recent weeks IMO. Only real positive coming out.

Re: Paynter - I dont go to as many games as most who post on here, what I've seen of Paynter is he is not the answer to stop this goal drought, he will never score you more than 10 league goals a season.
I've seen players like the Paynters of this world for years, professional, know what they are doing, holds the ball up well, but never going to beat a defender with pace.
You can't say he is laying off goals for others either, he gets into positions to score but there it ends, he doesn't seem to have a strikers killer finish on.
Most games you come away and think well Paynter had a good game, but a striker should be all about putting the ball in the net first, quiet honestly I would prefer to have a striker who is lazy for 90% of the game, but give him one chance and in the net you go.
I stated before on a previous thread last month, at Swindon we do not have a forward who will put fear into any defence in this division, the way we play at the moment doesn't really help either, and they are quiet easily marked.
Cox I thought might be the exception because he has got that bit of pace, but Saturdays miss from one yard shows he is not the 20 goal striker we will need, and we haven't had a real target man since Parkin left.

10 goals a season from Paynter would suffice if he was playing alongside a 20 goal a season striker, unlike you Dell, I'm not judging Cox on that one miss. Adebayor missed an easier header against Meeeeee-lan the other week, doesn't mean he's a gash player.

you say judge him in the summer .. but if we continue on this downward spiral we might be in League 2 next year!!
Re Paynter and Comminges I agree tho - they are really trying hard - but to be honest I always thought they did whenever they played
and Cox is a 20 a goal season striker - they all miss them sometimes

He does need a goal, any goal, scrappy off his nose on Saturday when have been ok, I believe his record is 1 in 6 since his transfer from Reading. Dont think you can give an example re Adebayor and Cox in the same sentence. I remember Ronaldo missing from five yards and skying it over the ball earlier this season, but those two score regularly in the top level of football. Cox is the only forward I would keep for next season.

Dell boy I was giving paynter loads of shit a month ago, he looks a different player now. His touch has imporoved and he has upped his work rate. fair play to him.
If he keeps playing like he is now, then goals will come, particually as there were some really positive signs of him forming a good partnership with cox on saturday.

I know Dell, the comparison to Adebayor was a crude one to make, but it got my point across. Personally I have always thought Cox is a decent enough player, no SSP (his his prime) but I think he'll do alright for us, he (like many others) are just a bit low on confidence.
I'm gonna carry on looking on the positives, Allen, Comminges, Kanyuka, Easton. The future's bright.
