Now, IMO, the world is getting a little fucked up when you start messing with the staple food stuffs like cheese.
For example, lets take the Brie/Cranberry debate. Brie is delicious on its own, but a little Cranberry relish (of some nature) on the side compliments it extremely well. Something to do with the mix of the creaminess of the cheese and the tartness of the cranberry. But to put cranberries IN Brie - an absolute fucking NO NO.
Use the same analogy with Guinness if you like. You just don't mess about with icons of food.....

Pineapple on a pizza - whats all that about? ? ah like this Guinness red stuff? haven't tried it myself. And yes pineapple on pizza is wrong. as are anchovies. :chunder: I wasn't really on about Guinness Red per se, just mixing other drinks (like cider etc) with it. Take it you don't like anchovies then? Ever had a Caeser Salad? My missus makes a healthy low fat Caesar dressing with is fooking lovely, anchovies on the side. Its food heaven. Anchovies on the right pizza might be OK, but I'm struggling to think of the top of my head what they would work well with. On that basis, they belong with pineapple, and shouldn't go near a pizza.....

I do like Caesar Salad - just minus the fish! One of the ingredients in caeser dressing is anchovy paste. Hope I haven't put you off..... Shame you're allergic to fish, its bloody good for you so long as you don't deep fry it in batter and serve it with chips all the time. Hmmmm, sushi
