it's pretty obvious that the adver have no idea what is going on, and rather than stay quiet and then be criticised for having nothing on the manager's job, they have pulled some names out of thin air to make it look like they are anything other than clueless.

Bloody hell, the place will be crawling with them soon! It's like getting their own back for Culloden.

Fitton doesn't strike me as a risk taker.  All his talk so far has been about stability and competence, so signing an unknown - with or without an endorsement from Paul Sturrock - would surprise me.  Consensus today was he'll go for Cotterill, and I think I'd be happy with that as an appointment.

Without spending all night googling this chap.Does anyone know if Billy Davies and Maurice Malpas have previous? Maybe he was here to watch us play without the 'theres Billy Davies' brigade pointing and staring. He could of turned up to get a look at how the players perform and take notes. If we have a new boss in for the Walsall game next week this is the only chance to get a look at 1st team action. Just a thought. He could be his No.2

none whatsoever. malpas was a one club man as a player, davies would have played against him for a few different teams but never alongside him. he was at motherwell long before malpas.

It couldn't be that he is doing some unofficial scouting or representing someone else.....

I think RS and the press as a whole are at the stage where if any ex manager turns up to an STFC game they are going to put 2+2 together and get 98. They don't have a clue so will just start speculating

Cheesy And I think we'll see even more of that once the results of the random drugs tests are in!

just throwing an idea in, but maybe a lesser manager is necessary. fitton has stated he isn't going to throw billions at the club, and he was going to make it more finacially better and secure. maybe employing a big name manager on big wages isn't the way he wants to go. it isn't very good, but it just is my opinion.

ps its good to see the boardroom dwellers getting something to get worked up about  Cheesy

I think this bloke might be part of the potential management team, just like Gus Poyet was to Wise and is to Ramos
