I wasn't there tonight(obviously) but how can those muppet commentators say"there are positives"(WTF are they) and "the scoreline flattered Carlisle"(13-3 shots on target)

Sorry to be negative but i think we will get thumped by Southend as well Sad

Roots Hall is a traditional graveyard.....wouldn't exactly be a surprise in our present state.

3-1 Cowe,Finney,Watson-11 years ago I grant you!

Remember it well for the sense of  .  The previous win there was in 61/62, and even I can't remember that...in fact it might not have been at Roots Hall as they played somewhere else in Sarfend around then.

The thing is DV if the takeover isn't completed by christmas will we even have a club left next year?

who knows? but regardless......i guess we're planning not to die....I guess we're planning ahead of Christmas

At the least we've planned up untill the end of the season....and even if we did in 3 months time.....we still need a bloody manager.

No matter what is going on off the field, we need a manager and we need one a week ago!!
We would have lost tonight with Sturrock in charge. Carlisle are a better side than we are - and that's even when we are at full strength. Get over it - the off field matters are far more important. Get that sorted and we can go forward but remember (and I have been supporting Town for 30+ years) our current fan base is only good enough to support a League 1 side. Dont blame Byrne/Williams - they will do their best with a depleted squad.

The club is more than capable of being an established championship side with the right backing, if we sorted out our off-field problems and got a decent manager then there's no reason why we couldn't get into the championship within 2-3 years.
Byrne/Williams are nowhere near good enough, the sooner they are not in charge the better to be honest.

Sorry to shoot you down after your 1st post Kirky but ...............

Byrne is a youth team manager

Williams is a player who proved he was not good enough last year to manage in league 2, yet alone league one

However

its not their fault, they have been thrust into this position by the wankers who are strangling the club I love.

the same Carlisle team we beat last season.....oh yeah....

Its not about one game though, maybe Sturrock would have lost it still....but Sturrock is a manager. Williams and Bynre arent.

One day may not make the difference, but over the season we'd be better off with Sturrock in charge than Williams....obvious really.

I agree with your sentiments DV, but until the budget is sorted out (i.e. takeover) it won't happen.

What a bizzare post!!!. As a supporter for 15 years I can remember well many a season when our fan-base was more than supporting a championship, (Old divvy 1, whatever) squad.

ok, im no business wizzkid, but surely there is the wages we arent paying Sturrock anymore?

the take over could/can/will drag on for months, if it actually ever happens

we cant go months without a manager

I'm glad Sturrock left us in better shape than when he joined or we'd be really fucked.

Yes I am being sarcastic.

i've given up caring - not worried about losing tonight (although that was our worst loss since... ? ) just can't be stressed with it all anymore - one of my relatives played in the 69 cup final - my great grandparents supported the town in the 1900's but i've had enough - think i might take the kids to pompey on saturday, bye bye swindon.......
