i've given up caring - not worried about losing tonight (although that was our worst loss since... ? ) just can't be stressed with it all anymore - one of my relatives played in the 69 cup final - my great grandparents supported the town in the 1900's but i've had enough - think i might take the kids to pompey on saturday, bye bye swindon.......

We lost 3-0 to Stockport in March.   Williams was missing for the first time following injury and Ifil saw red.

Its not compulsory.....you sound like you'd be happier being a follower rather than a fan.

Indeed fred, we all know it's going to happen anytime now unless these clowns on the board hurry up and get the fuck out!

Also with Byrne/Williams in charge i would hate to think about the thought of possibly getting a points deduction shortly.....

So why arent people as angry as I am, and apart from a few (present company included)

All I see is a lot of people shrugging shoulders.

I'm telling you...................if I met someone on a dark evening................well fuck me

I don't know fred, i'm angry as fuck and i know a few other people who are but a lot of fans don't seem to get it and don't know how bad a situation we are in, if only all of us were angry then this board would be driven out of town.
I know what you mean about the dark evening thing, i think a lot of people are thinking the same thing, if this club goes down i think the fans will be baying for blood.

Whats more annoying are these last minute goals at home that stop the Swindon natives kicking off.Two bad home results and all hell breaks lose.Sadly people are that narrow minded and cant seperate the on pitch with the off.

Don't be stupid. You can't change teams unless the idiots running our club force you too - even then as far as I am concerned football dies with my club

listening to byrne as i was driving home, the bloke sounds like an idiot. not sure what it says about his mangerial abilities but he sounded like a clueless oaf.

the takeover and the survival of this football club is far more important than a hasty managerial appointment. if the outcome was relegation but the takeover was successful then i would take that.

Sorry mate that's bollocks

This club could have been sorted out 18 months ago, but because of greedy bastards it was not.

Transfer emargo's.........losing managers

They are intrinsically linked with on the field issues.

YOU CANNOT AND SHOULD NOT SEPARATE THE TWO

I agree, the takeover and survival of the club come before anything else, a new manager can wait for the time being, i too would rather get relegated and have the takeover rather than have no club at all.

We're not in a relegation battle just yet. If the takeover isn't done soon and a mangerial appointment isn't made then we really are up shit creek without a paddle. There's a long way to go in this season if we can survive the financial fall out, hasty appointment or not.

I'm just being a miserable fucker - and i'd question your suggestion its not compulsary - why else would we put ourselves through all this - i'll be at the ground - or glued to  t'internet barring the unspeakable happening - sorry back on message - its all gonna be fine, c'mon you reds.....

i dont think thats what yeovil was saying. its more the general mindset that while the team do well on the pitch, the average fan doesn't give a flying feck about whats going on behind the scenes.

i "played" football tonight. judging by the defensive crisis, i'm gonna give byrne a call and tell him i'm available for saturday.

Byrne was gutted. Heard countless other STFC managers sounding similarly clueless after heavy defeats - guess it would be hard to find anyone getting much out of our players in similar circumstances - i.e with all the off field crap going on. Agree re priorities totally
