I'd recommend a Centre Back by the name of Jozef Piacek, i bought him for Forest for a fee of £26k and he's also a Slovakian International.

in my first season as swindon, and I am reallty struggling to get some decent players in. Paynter and Dong Fangzou or whatever his name is a scoring a fair amount but my defence is still bollocks

As always - Chris James, available on a free.
Picked up a good AMC from QPR called Nicola Iachemet, scores from distance a lot.
Also agree with Will Hoskins, scored over 40 goals in one season for me!

You need a huge database? You'll need to download a patch to get it.
Chris James is a good reserve for me in the Prem, and Fabio Fario is a good first team player, both of whom I picked up on my first season.
