On the basis of network games, I tried to set one up today but all we could get was an error message saying 'could not connect to server'. We tried each pooter to be the server and tried typing the IP addresses in different ways...but nothing.
Anyone know what we did wrong and how we can put it right? Ta. Are you both behind routers? You often have to do a bit of port opening trickery for such things. Yes we are (you mean wireless routers, I assume)...port opening means something different to me...nowt to do with pooters. So how do we do that? And, indeed, is it something we should do? Maybe. I don't know never tried fm online. Do a google search for FM08 port forwarding multiplayer or something. If you do have to do it it just means a bit of trickery in your router settings so it forwards information coming to your router for a certain port to the right IP address. Or something. I've moved up from CM4 (I spilt wine on the CD) up to CM03/04. Which I believe is the last CM before the CM/FM split. It's pretty similar just means I don't know which noregian super attacking midfielder which scores 30+ with another 30+ assists from behind the front 2 each season. Just trounced Cardiff 5-1 in second from last pre-season friendly. I'm Exeter. |
