Peacock works his ass off every game. That is the minimum requirement for EVERY footballer

The Roberts substitution was a joke.As a striker,Peacock offered no threat whatsoever-I cant believe some people think he wasn't crap.Sturrock says he a midfielder now,so why persist with him up front? Roberts looked like the only one who was particularly bothered. Very strange substitution.

I think jack smith just had his worst game in a swindon shirt today. There left mid pissed all over him all afternoon.
That was down to the fact the ref booked him for nothing early on, and he knew that one mistimed challenge, and he would be off.

An unbeaten team didn't deserve changes to it. We won't see Peacock up front again barring injuries now I'd have though. He worked hard with no real end product. I though Blair was the poorer of the two.
As for the winger, I though both were poor. Roberts was not offering as much support for Jack Smith as he should have leaving Smith over exposed on a few occasions. Monsieur Gant was tres merd in his crossing and passing too which made Vincent look poor for lumping the ball down the line most of the time. At least Roberts showed on occasion that he had the ability to unlock the door.
The pro's were that we looked reasonably solid against a team that made the playoffs last season. Apart from Adjoffee getting caught out on the goal, Yeovil were contained even easier than our own attack.
Having a solid base is something we can and will build from. But we have to make the most of games we dominate like Cheltenham and Crewe.

Vincent did a good job defensively, some of his distribution was poor though.
Pook had another steady game, it took him a while to get going but I thought he did alright.
Roberts and Zaboub very average. Quite like the look of Paynter up front though he gets the ball down well. Cox didn't do too much but looked lively.
Defensively good, J Smith a little suspect and should Smith tried to punch the cross away for the goal, not sure I'll have to see the reply.
Collectively as a team performance, poor.

Phil Smith didn't do anything wrong, Ifil was really solid.
Rest of the team were pretty shit. I don't think I need to elaborate.

We were shocking today
Smith didn't really have much to do Our defence was rarely tested but when it was it didn't look solid In midfield Pook misplaced about 100% of his passes and there was little or no service coming from the wings Up front we had Blair Sturrock, which was plain wrong in itself
All in all, a complete and utter waste of time. Even if we had grabbed a goal to win it or equalise late on, I would have been quite depressed with how uninventive we were

We were the wrong side of dreadful today against a side who also bordered on utter shit. An increase of about 2% and we would have done them no problem. Trouble is the strikers were shocking and the midfield constantly seemed to think we were wearing green and white rather than red and white. Also although we played well in defence, when they won the ball instead of playing it away sensibly the were insistent on playing the 50 yard wonder pass, which they inevitably twatted straight to a Yeovil player.
Not too sure about the new signings either, or Sturrock taking our best player off :?

Long and short... both teams were dire, 0-0 would have been fair. Yeovil had one chance and put it away... roll on next week. It's only our first loss this season so....

funny how people see things differently. vincent imo was excellent today and i can only remember one misplaced pass from him. pook was superb aswell, i thought had his best game so far this season and only went off because he was fucking shattered(the twats in the townend who ironicaly cheered his substitution know fuck all !!!) ifil was man of the match imo and was awesome. if anyone deserves stick its jack smith who was piss poor today vincent was woeful, couldn't pass water and offered no support to zaaboub going forward. every pass he made was straight down the line to nobody. i pray nicho is fit again soon. pook did alright, not quite as good as he has been. both he and easton struggled to get into the game - agree about the cocks in the town end who cheered pook and sturrock's substitutions, fucking moronic shitehawks. ifil and aljofree were solid as ever. mcgovern looked pretty average and wasted a chance that nine out of ten forumers could have scored - i probably could have finished that - but i'll reserve judgment until he starts a match. cox was selfish and has the touch of an analrapist. we were poor, yeovil were little better but had something up front. we didn't. one defeat out of five will do me, do our fans live in cloud cuckoo land or something? we've got no divine right to be amazing. we're a bit shit in general.

Why oh Why did Sturrock take off Roberts, not Zaaboub? Roberts was progressive and running at them, zaaboub was just wasteful, apart from the pull back. Thought Vincent was absolutely dire and pook and easton are too similar, easton being the better player. Sturrock Jr has no future at this football club.
On a brighter note, i thought Paynter played well when he came on and showed some good touches, will be a good acquisition when fit.
That is all Agree with that; I thought Zaaboub was crap today. And Paynter isn't match fit; but i also thought he showed some good touches; once he is fit I'm sure he's going to get a decent amount of goals for us.
