There is no point playing Beckham in a friendly like this. We know what he can do, he's been out injured, and he has to fly miles.

Robinson was a clown for the goal 1st goal, but Owen's open goal miss cost us just as much. They both cost us a goal.

I'm fed up of McLaren bringing people into the squad, only for them to sit on the bench in the hope of getting 10 minutes at the end.

The German fans were great "Ve von ze last game at Vembley!" was rather amusing in a way.

Playing one up front, at home, 1 goal down is wrong...

Is it time to reassess Graham Taylors virtues as England Manager?

Look at what Taylor had to play with and although some of his tactical decisions may have been wrong, he didn't really have a lot of choice in the matter.

Yet another example of the media turning a manager into a laughing stock.

If all the players were fit, on paper we would have a superb team

James
Richards
Ferdinand
Terry
A Cole
Beckham
Gerrard
Hargreaves
SWPhillips
Rooney
Owen/bent/johnson/defoe/ashton (take your pick)

but it is the manager that calls the shots and makes the tactical decisions and unfortunately Mclaren is not that man , the annoying thing is that we could fail to qualify before they sack him

and that danke fur 2006 was a fucking disgrace but this is england we're talking about it's been a women and children fest for over 10 years now.

Better that than hooligans fighting on the terraces.

Having said that though, i do agree slightly, going to the pub and watching England play is awful now,has been for years, all the wannabe wags wearing their I love footie shirts and screaming every time England get a corner do my head in  :x

i was quite impressed with the stadium when i walked in, although at the back you are a long way from the pitch.  got asked to be quiet by a bloke sat in fron of me with his daughter, which i think sums up the football pretty well.

whilst wembley is still full of tourists it's going to be a long time before it becomes a fortress.

although, maybe now that we are generally accepted as being shit, it'll lose it's appeal to the "i love footie" brigade.

i used to look forward to england games, as some relief from swindon's troubles and turmoils. now it's the other way around!

errrr dell, its not 1942 anymore. As far as im concerned  england-germany is no more of a derby than england-latvia. The germans ain't done nothing to us for a while now, don't see nothing to get too angry about tbh.

Try telling that to old twits of my age and the generation before us.
Enough said I think, could go on about this all night but as usual I would only bore everyone to death so time to sign off.

WTF england Germany???  Doesn't mean much??  My God Dave what's up with you?  Next you'll be saying you don't care about playing Scotland, Wales, Ireland, France.

That's the problem, countries like Scotland, Germany, France all do their utmost to put one over on england (which is why Scotland have a pretty decent record against england) and you have a "to be honest we don;t really consider you rivals..."

I'm glad I've been brought up to support Scotland, fair enough we may never win a championship or even get close, but those wins against particular countries feel so good when they do happen.

I dislike the scots welsh and irish football teams because they're local, and need to be put back in their place. I dislike the french because they're arrogant and local, and i hate the argentines because their behaviour is disgracefull. But i couldn;t really care about germany much. They aint local, they've done nothing wrong in my lifetime, and nothing wrong in the lifetime of most people on here. The only thing to get wound up about is their annoying efficiency.
