Just heard Sturrock's interview on radio and he was saying about how Brevett is part of the consortium and the new "investors" have lot's of other buisnesses so they will have Rufus as the link man Im afraid the board are going to have to start doing a bit more explaining because as a fan this getting silly now,we dont even know if our debts have been paid but they seem to be putting players and new imployees on long contracts surley by us not having payed the cva payment would stop us from doing this not that im disaproveing anything its just we need to be explained how there getting to do this under the circumstances. Well first and foremost we don't know what the size of the investment is. If it's a lot then they can cover any overspend on wages/transfer fees etc. We also don't know what AA has said to the crediors regarding the CVA. I'm sure things are probably being dealt with on that side of things. A little patience is needed from the fans Cheers rich

I'm more optimistic that the 'new' consortium actually exists now, otherwise why else would these new appointments be viable ?
Regrettably it looks less likely that BP will be part of the future, but perhaps there could be a link up further down the line when the new organisation is in place ?

Can I just say Nev that (albeit still a little confused why they never sat down and talked to us), at the end of the day the most important thing is THE FUTURE OF STFC !. Now, if the investment is clean and viable, contractually sound, and of the value that can secure our ambitions long term then we should all breath a sigh of relief and put a bloody smile on our faces again. Its never ever easy being a Town fan, and this demonstrates that. Clearly, in agreeance with you, there has been committment already, via pledges, so the deal is that close. Please dont anybody write Bill off as yet, who is to say that he may want to talk to these people (and if he feels that he can work with them, and the top level structure is sound), possibly consider his options. At the end of the day, I get a strong feeling that THE KING IS DEAD................................LONG LIVE THE KING !

A little patience is needed from the fans I think a lot of peoples patience (myself included) is wearing thin though, their making these appointments yet still won't tell us who they are. Until we know who they are and what there plans are it makes it very difficult to be confident or happy with what is happening. We've been patient for 6 years and quite frankly I'm sick of this whole waiting game, if only they'd give us names then we might actually all unite to one single cause.......but of course that would be far to simple :|

I dont blame any of you for being fed up of waiting. All i'm saying is that the best thing for all of us to do is to stay patient for another few weeks and i am sure we will all know what is going on by then (or at least i hope). After all we have been waiting for months of end to hear any positive news with the fans consoritum. It wouldn't harm any of us to wait a little longer.

Agreed Rich, but I just hope that it all works out in the end!! I cannot help thinking that if they get to see the true state of the club they might just run away and then where will be!! Also, my main worry is that the slimey greek will still be involved in some way, smooth things over, and two years down the line we are back in trouble. If it is totally new owners, Dunwoody have nothing to do with it, then the good times can roll!!

I know where your coming from but they could at least give us an idea of their plans and what they propose to do. If they go through their entire 8 week timescale that'll mean it drags on into the start of the new season and we still might be none the wiser. I would love to start the season being able to focus solely on the football but that is becoming increasingly unlikely. I just really don't like all this secrecy and I dread them being 'silent' partners who are hidden in the background and we remain unaware who they are.

It was reported on RS this morning that the deal may be done with the foreign investors as early as this afternoon or it may take another 7 days, they are thrashing out trying to get the best deal at the moment, the proposals as they are is for the new consortium to take a 75% stake with the current regime keeping the other 25% - it was said though there is still a chance it could collapse.
I can only assume it is 75% of the football club and the holding co, with SSW keeping a minority stake and allowing him to put someone on the board, still waiting to hear who the new investors are and what their plans are for OUR football club though...the silence if nearly as good as the present lot.
Surely though if the current regime claim Power has 1.2m worth of shares they have to discuss it with him before they can sell...even if it was a loan it still means he has a hefty stake and can't be ignored, unless they pay him off though !!
