am i the only person who rates blair sturrock? i think some of his runs on saturday beyond the defensive line were ace. i think there's more to come from him if we get a good midfield

I must admit some of his runs are superb and into the right areas, but he doesn't score enough.

If we could get a player that makes those runs but also scores goals (e.g. Leon Best) than that would be ace.

Be fair, how many minutes of football did he get last season? He never really got that much of a real chance to score did he?

Could stll be a useful supersub a la Peterborough.

I reckon Luggy will be after a proper winger and another overlapping full back as well as a forward or two

Interesting to see what happens about Roberts, we all know he can be inconsistent but on his day is a good player, maybe give him a 1 yr deal with a clause to play x games to get another year but sign someone that can really push him for his place on the right wing.

Id expect Roberts to get another year .. the question is whether he wants a longer contract ... and therefore he might end up going

In fact that could happen to a few of the players

Just Sign Up Jerel Luggy!! and quick!!

bennett, you arent the only one who rates Sturrock Jr.

He works the channels well, we just need someone from midfield to bomb forward into the box when he does so....so he's got a few targets to aim for

sturrock is good at running the channels,a bit ropey infront of goal though imo.i'd still keep him though as a squad player

I like Blair, he seems a bit slow and not the fittest at the moment, but he has a good brain and does intelligent things - although when he runs the left channel he needs to learn to put in left footed crosses - I don't see him as a starter - someone fast to run onto Corr's flicks seems to be the order of the day, but as an impact sub he offers something different.

I wouldnt read too much into it.

Sturrock said he was seeing players agents yesterday and today.

It would be harsh to announce that players were leaving before he told them. I expect the list will get updated tomorrow morning with the addtions of Shakes and Weston.

On the adver site is says Weston triggered a second year by playing enough but Strrock has told him he's surplus so they 'expect' him to leave in the next few days.  Jerel on a three year deal = WOOT!
