Had a look on the dunwoody website and saw this on the our clients page. http://www.dunwoodygroup.co.uk/ourclients/ourclients.phpWe're in tune with our clients. We enjoy working with clients, feeding off their ideas, getting under their skin, suggesting new ways to achieve their goals and make budgets go further. Yep, you get under our skin & our budget has gone further. Where it's gone we don't know but gone it has. STFC and budgets?! I can't see it myself.

Option three has the train in the right place - now make it green, put the football in the corner, put the robin at the top, add soem more colour and hey presto. Could't agree more! the gold looks shit. will look even worse when its on a red shirt. Need more colour. there only doin it so it looks like they care about the fans and so the greek twat can get more money from the club. Everyone vote aginst a new badge till bill power takes over

I dread to imagine the consultancy and designing fee we've paid Dunwoody for designing these. Is this Diamandis's clever way of stealing the Lukas transfer fee.......or am I just a cynic? Also, once it's been registered as a trademark, they'll also claim a cut of any sales. So, vote for 'None of the above.' Is that true....so say they implement the logo and then sell the club straight after, will they still own the trademark and so still make money from ever bit of merchandise next season until Power and co manage to change it? If it's classed and registered as a trademark and they hold the registration, then the answer to your question is YES! So he keeps his nose in the trough. So lets keep the current badge until at least BP and the FC takes over.

Someone should text into BBC RS and get sniffer Hadwin on the case. ie: "what are the odds that Diamandis and Dunwoody are behind this badge change idea, one last rinse of money from the club before they leave is it? I vote NO CHANGE OF BADGE! atleast until Power is in and we can trust those in charge" (I left my phone at work!)

i fail to see how they can rework an old badge and claim money from it if they get ousted out....surely if they have nothing to do with the club than there rights to the 'new' badge would just be classed as stealing from the old, especially if number three gets voted in.

When has that ever stopped them before. The omission of the original 1980's badge seems deliberate to me, need a change of logo to milk more money

It's absurd - the 1990 badge is universally liked - the new one isn't loved by anyone, just seen as a watered-down cheap replica of the old one, which'll cost more and look poor.
I'm voting option 4 and waiting until they give us a more suitable alternative

Good shout. I heard someone on the bus saying the following this morning though "Even if we all vote option 4, they'll still make another one win so Diamandis can rape the club one last time." buses eh!

Badges eh? You wait ages for a new one, then three (identical ones) come along at once.

(without going off subject...I'm going to go off subject) its good to see more people aware of the retards we've got in the boardroom - I was taking a piss in the Town End at half time on Saturday and all the talk was about the board being a bunch of tossers, nobody disagreeing - and i was the only bloke in there who was at the trust meeting (back to club badges....)

Good to hear moonraker - I would like to think that the sensible thing to do is for everyone to vote for status quo (no not Francis Rossi et al), and then if/when things happen with the consortium a proper consultation is undertaken where the choices are actually a) good b) different to each other and c)well considered and not some excuse for marketing expenses to go down a black hole.

Couple of points:
How much have the designers been paid for these as they are pants, and who are they?
Why are we doing this now, havent we got more important things to spend cash on, I assume when it chanes all the signs at the club will have to be changed the headed paper etc? Who will be responsible for this, I assume the marketing company?
I agree that the diamond is rubbish and was introduced to show wehad passed through a bad time in our history. Do you not think they are trying to get on the back of this and suggest that we are getting through another bad period, instead of being slap bang in the middle of a huge disaster!
Why not use the old one, I assume someone owns the copyright, and as the clubs holding company has changed so many times it isnt the present lot?
That is all. BTW they are all a sad poor copy of the old ones, they all look really cheap to me!

I believe we were one of the first clubs to register our badge in 1992/92, many clubs have recently followed suit to do the same - see the new Arsenal badge, it is to give the clubs (and their marketing comapnies/greek advisors) ownership of the use of the crest, stopping unlicensed merchandising etc. The problem with the 1990 badge is that it is basically a bastardised civic crest, so the club don't own it. i'm sure some decent tweaks would make the old badge 'new' and as such trademarkable, avoiding the problem and the abortion of an attempt that was unveiled yesterday.
