Anything less than 6 and we're as good as out.
Still have France away, Ukraine and Italy at home. Won't get much in Paris, but could get 4 points out of the Ukraine and Italy matches.
This is gonna come down to how the Ukraine, Italy and France do against each other.
Personally I don't expect France AND Italy to qualify. It'll be between us and Ukraine for the second qualification spot. Whether that's runner up to France or Italy I'm not sure.

whats going on dave? yes ben we have, but the Ukraine, Italy and france all have to play each other so, we get the points against the lower sides and make sure we get points at hampden and we'll have a chance. Having said that I'm disappointed about tonight, although we're relatively young side now, so as we say at the CG, the future's bright. i just wish we had an easy group... ... like englands.

defoe had a shot, the keeper got a hand to it but it still trickled to the line, and then when the ball was on the line, nugent ran up and blasted it in

Just about to post that, fair play to them, again they have played more than the others but good on them, I hope they, Scotland and england qualify, would be cracking to have three teams in the euro championships, not sure if that's ever happened. I'd bet not, as Scotland have only qualified in 92 & 96, not sure if the welsh and N irish ever have

Watched the game in my student union - when the first goal went in - people went absolutely delirious, hugging eachother etc like it was a World Cup knock out match.
We were simply not up to standard (again).
Fair play to Nugent - I'd have done the same.
Fair play to Northern Ireland too.

That always makes me smile when a team's supporter, whether it's an international side or a premier league side, celebrating like mad when they go one up against a vastly inferior side. Although when we go one up against oxford I do the same

I think people go mental down to pure relief of scoring against a pile of shite.
Can Stewart Downing break his leg please? (harsh but fair IMO) what an excuse of a footballer he is.

Dfoe looked good, as did Dyer (sort of). downing didn't put a single good cross in all night or make one winger-esque run. He's fucking pathetic.
