Oh they meander alright! Lots of soundscapes and ambience. But they can be to the point too. Their post-pink floyd worship stuff is a lot more accessible. Give their album ‘In Absentia’ a shot, I’m pretty sure you’ll be glad if you do

Never knew the Town End forum was the place. Did you ever hear this one?

I'm doing an online course right now but just went to a random point for about a minute and it sounds right up my street. I'll give it a listen when I go to bed, cheers for the recommendation

[very obscure new wave alert for Wobbly et al]
OK, now this is a band I've loved for 40 years, and even interviewed once. A London new wave band who regularly filled large venues in the 80s, that you've never heard of right? Because they were initially signed to a French label and management, and though they were and are very popular here and in Poland - they never broke through back home in the UK. Which is a shame because they should have been very big.

So why the post? Because they reformed in 2017 and have released two new albums which are - surprisingly - every bit as good as their original output. And on 20th Jan they'll be playing their first UK gig in 35 years back home at the Half Moon in Putney, and you lucky people can probably still get hold of a ticket here: https://tickets.halfmoon.co.uk/events/2022-01-20-the-opposition-half-moon-putney

It's OK. You can thank me later.

Good choice, that's one of their popular oldies. The last song, Very Little Glory is also very good.

Heading back to Brum for Suede at the O2 Academy tonight.
Should cap off a very good day as they never disappoint.

Im the promoter of the show tonight.  Look out for an old style town short on the balcony!

Stage times are 8 - 8.45 for Nadine Shah, 9.15 for Suede.
