I love The Fleece as a venue.

And you are clearly not sheepish about it.

Late decision to head across to Reading for Stiff Little Fingers at Sub89.
Good venue and home before midnight with a bit of luck.
The Fez Club used to put some good gigs on, closed a while back now.

Hope to get back here for some football again before my time is up.

The place is a fucking shithole, my band played there a few times, hated it behind the stage and watching gigs in the most depressing dark dank gongpit with pillars blocking the view of the stage.

Sorry did that come over a bit negative?

Pillars always liven things up, The Riverside in Newcastle was great for pillars, even had one on the stage!

Fleece is decent. Plenty of others a lot worse. Last time there saw Wilco Johnson. Great gig great atmosphere. Fleece is a long way from some clinical venues, I like that !

Looking forward to some in your face Welshness from the Manic Street Preachers in Portsmouth tonight.
Supping in the Fratton area.
Portsmouth, not a place to go if you want to get away from people, it's all cheek by jowel here.
A visit is always an enjoyably gritty experience.

Watched Tom Grennan in Bath Tuesday, he’s got some voice on him.

Just managed to get tickets to see Liam Gallagher at Knebworth.

25 years since Oasis at Knebworth.  No
Went on the Sunday.
Missed the Charlatans set through queuing for a pint.
No recollection whatsoever of Cast, Dreadzone or Kula Shaker & only a vague memory of the Manics.
Trains back to Kings Cross were running through the night.

Not so keen on the large outdoors events these days.

I went to see the Manics in October 1994 in the Glasgow Barrowlands and it was one of my first and best gigs I have been to. Not sure they play with the same vigour these days.

Still an excellent live band. Would always still recommend to anyone if they get the chance.
Would love to get to the Barrowlands one day, an iconic venue.
