The Sisters of Mercy at the Roundhouse tonight.
Last band seen before lockdown.
Rise & reverberate? Possibly not.

The return to normality isn't doing the liver any good.

Bagged a ticket to see Dave in Bournemouth in the New Year.

And Paul Foot sooner, in Oxford.

How was Johnny? Predictably nauseating?

How was Johnny? Predictably nauseating?

All very underwhelming.
First half was some weak questioning from an in awe patsy with no control over the rambling.
Second half was audience questions with only about 10% having the submit question card to hand.
Didn't learn anything new.
His three former colleagues are not flavour of the month.
Although it must be difficult for him with his wife's alzheimers.
A few insights on that were interesting.

Basking in the warm inner glow of a clean sheet on the way to Ash at the Roundhouse.
Fourth time lucky for this one.
Good live band.

We go to see less bands now, more likely to go to a Comedy show.

In the last few weeks we’ve seen Frank Skinner, Russell Howard & John Bishop.

Also went to the local comedy club this week, where we saw Rob Deering & Elliot Steel (Son of Mark Steel) who were both really good

Spear of Destiny at The Fleece in Bristol tonight.
Likely to be more twangs than a Duane Eddy greatest hits collection and that's just from the audience.
Will never get to grips with the local accent.

The place is a fucking shithole, my band played there a few times, hated it behind the stage and watching gigs in the most depressing dark dank gongpit with pillars blocking the view of the stage.

Sorry did that come over a bit negative?

Yeah they got through the noise objection thing, must have been 3 or 4 years ago.

The venue has supposedly had a full refurb during the enforced closure.
Not everyone's cup of tea as a venue but I like it.
