"Swindon is also a licensed Football League ground and they would love to have us."

"Then there is Cheltenham, but I can't think of a single advantage over Swindon"

Imagine how much trouble there would be every other week with thousands of Brizzle fans in town

I'm sure the police will look forward to that !!!

By mentioning us like that, I would guess that they have spoken to Smarnes and Co. about the possiblility of temporarily using the CG, and that is why he'd quoted as saying 'Swindon is also a licensed Football League ground, and they would love to have us'.

So long as the pennies are dropping into the bank accounts of the club, i dont mind drizzle rovers using the county ground. It depends if the club are allowed to negotiate any deal or whether the council do, which would be their right as the stadium owners.

They's soon return the CG to terracing anyway.

To be honest I could see the old bill blocking any prosed temporary move to the CG on the grounds of potential trouble. They'll end up in Cheltenham

Imagine the scene -

-We dont go up
-Rovers are squatting at the CG for a season

We would have an "away" game at the CG and get the Arkells and stratton bank. HOW GAY WOULD THAT BE?

It's a good point.

I'd assume we'd be given a massive allocation though based on the cirumstances. Nationwide or Arkells and Stratton Bank I expect.

I thought the same. Would the decision be the club's or the council's though?

Perhaps the board want to merge with Rovers!

That would be superb - it'd be a 14,000 crowd for both matches as neither are really away and it'd be bonkers.

Obviously I'd love to go up but hey.

Just one thing:
Home match - Bristol Rovers vs Oxford at the County Ground
