After the Bradford fire IIRC, being wooden it was a fire risk.

Think it was to do with the exits more than it being wooden.  Basically in the event of a fire we'd have all burned while trying to escape or the stairs would have collapsed (so shit were they).

I don't think there were any seats on Shrivvy road until the old Aldershot Tatoo stand was purchased in 1958.
